We are also happy to be considered one of America's foremost fine and rare wine merchants. From Domaine de la Romanee Conti, Domaine Leroy, & d'Auvenay, to Dujac, Roulot, and Lafon, we have long been one of the finest sources for the rarest Burgundies with perfect provenance. We are extremely passionate about these wines, and take them very seriously. Ben Aneff - Managing Partner

Ben has been with Tribeca Wine Merchants since 2006. Having come to New York for graduate school in music, his initial foray into fine wine was through a part-time position at TWM, while waiting for the orchestral season to begin. His interest quickly exploded (as it can with wine), and he was lucky to be in a place that recognized and encouraged his passion, and gave him the opportunities and exposure that allowed him to grow in the fine and rare wine world. He later became the Director of Sales, and has been the Managing Partner since 2014. Ben is extremely passionate about wines of terroir, and feels few places showcase this more transparently than Burgundy. He is particularly drawn to the wines of Domaine Leroy and d'Auvenay, Giacomo Conterno, Bruno Giacosa, and Chateau Rayas. Ben serves on the board of the National Association of Wine Retailers (NAWR), and is the president of the US Wine Trade Alliance (USWTA). He lives in Park Slope, Brooklyn with his lovely wife Hilary.

Lauren McPhate - Director of Sales

Lauren came to Tribeca Wine Merchants in 2016 from Hong Kong, where she was the Communications and Events Manager at Ginsberg+Chan Wine Merchants Asia. Having received her WSET Diploma in HK, Lauren enrolled in the Master of Wine program, and in 2017 was awarded the first ever Constellation Scholarship for the highest overall score in North America on Stage 1 of the Master of Wine  exam. At Tribeca Wine Merchants Lauren focuses on fine and rare wine sales and events. You’ll often find her searching for new producers from around the globe. She’s also a proud finisher of the 2018 New York Marathon, and the winning woman finisher of the 2020 Bhutan International Marathon.

Ben Niedelman - General Manager

Ben joined Tribeca Wine Merchants in 2023 from Manhattan Wine Company, where he served as the Director of Fine Wine Sales. His wine journey began in Santa Fe, New Mexico. After completing the Great Books Program at St. John's College, he began a job in fine dining where he developed a taste - followed by the palate - for great wine. Ben is a Certified Sommelier with the US Court of Master Sommeliers, a Certified Specialist of Wine in the Society of Wine Educators, and has completed his Advanced WSET Degree. After moving to New York in 2012, Ben spent over a decade working with private clients at the highest levels of the wine industry. There is nothing he enjoys more than introducing someone to a previously unknown wine that they fall in love with. His favorite kind of wine is well-made and challenges preconceived notions or conventional wisdom, with particular passions for Sassicaia, Perkins-Harter, Tiberio, and any of the great names of the Rhone Valley.
