The Domaine Amiot-Servelle is run by Christian Amiot, one of the sons of Pierre ambit and Elisabeth Servelle, daughter of Bernard Servelle-Tachot. The domaine has been farmed organically from 2003, with AB certification from the 2008 vintage. The wine has a fresh and modern touch, while having little reliance on oak--20% new wood used for the village wine, and put to 50% for the two top premiers crus.
Neil Martin (Wine Advocate) said, "Amiot-Servelle is one of those domaines that has just found its groove, located its mojo in recent vintages and given their enviable holdings that include Chambolle Amoureuses, Clos Saint-Denis and Charmes-Chambertin, there is inevitably going to be great wine pouring out of this address."
93 points, Burghound: “Ultra-spicy black pinot fruit aromas combine with those of tea, violet and again, discreet but not invisible, oak toast. The succulent, rich and delicious flavours possess excellent volume and mid-palate density, while exhibiting a pronounced minerality on the firm, serious and built-to-age finale. Patience will be required here as I suspect that this will shut down hard once in bottle.”
