A family project that gathered the 3 generations of the Santiago family, Quinta de Santiago, combines the tradition and knowledge of the older generation with the modernity and enthusiasm of the younger generation resulting in authentic wines. These wines reflect their terroir while staying true to the personality of the amazing grape that is Alvarinho.
Quinta de Santiago bets it all on their philosophy of Alvarinho as a state of mind. This philosophy encourages their control over all steps of production, each vine, each barrel, ensuring an excellent bottle. The first vintage (2012) was launched on the market in 2014. The face of this family project is the young producer Joana Santiago, whose passion for wines and energy for work were clearly bequeathed to her by her Grandma, an authentic Minho woman!
This wine reveals citrus color. The aroma is fresh and floral with balsamic and menthol notes, white flowers and citrus fruits. Presenting a fresh and elegant body, balanced by a mineral acidity; this wine makes the ideal choice for Asian food, oysters, mussels, scallops and other seafood. 50% Alvarinho & 50% Loureiro, from 7.5 hectares of open clay including rolled flintstones exposed in the East/West direction.
